Jeff acted as Project Director in the design and planning of a significant land development in Perth’s south-east corridor. In mid-2012, we commenced structure planning and subdivision for various landholdings in Haynes, part of MRA’s Wungong precinct. As part of the design process, we redesigned and amended the existing approved structure plan over the subject area and proposed detailed subdivision designs, improving the legibility and efficiency of the road network and maximizing exposure to the adjacent river and foreshore amenity. We approached this project with a consultative focus, collaborating with the MRA, City of Armadale and Department of Planning in delivering a major structure plan amendment and subdivision approval for 278 lots as a first stage, in approximately 4 months. A key to achieving this outcome was the establishment of regular liaison meetings with these three key agencies to resolve outstanding technical matters present upcoming statutory applications. To date, the project comprises approximately 700 lots spread across three land parcels, with subdivision approval now obtained for the majority. Jeff undertook this work while at Urbis.
